The Concrete Morning
It is 6:30 AM. You stare into the cold bathroom mirror. You try to tilt your head to shave or brush your teeth. But a sharp twinge stops you cold. Your shoulders feel like heavy concrete blocks. You dread the morning drive to work. You know every turn will be a painful chore. You swallow another pill, hoping it takes the edge off. But you know the heavy stiffness will just return tomorrow. The Blind Spot Jolt
You grip the steering wheel tight. The light turns green. You start to turn your head to check your blind spot. Suddenly, an electric jolt shoots down from the base of your skull. You flinch and pull back in pain. A car horn blares loudly behind you. You are stuck, stiff, and hurting.
